Tuning/chip

Guys

I have a mostly stock SY with 103k on it.

Mods are 255 walbro fuel pump,k/n filter(stock air box) high flow cat with flowmunster exhaust, AFPR,

My truck seems to run ok when cold but after it warms up it tends to have a off idle stumble.

I have the knowledge to tune my GN with a FAST .. Is there any recommendation on a chip for a stock truck?

I don't really care to buy all the crap to do a chip for the 749 ecm and i see no need for a fast on a stock truck.

Sucks to be the first to hate.. But get rid of the flowmaster. It is restricting your air exhaust flow, and hurting you in the HP. Get a free flowing muffler. I personally recommend a BORLA XR1.

Try messing with CODE59, if you plan on doing the tuning yourself.

If not you can always hit up NOLAN on the forum and he can create a tune for you.

Honestly, there isn't a "chip" that'll fix your stumble. You've got a mechanical problem someplace that needs to be fixed if you're still running the stock setup and you're getting a stumble.

It's funny that you mention the Dist.

I was going to drive the sy to work today and i went out to a no starting truck this morning. All it would do is turn over. So i just got in something else and went in to work. Well i came home @ lunch time and messed with it for a few mins to find out it has no spark. I just put in a new module and coil from advance a dew months back tring to fix the stumble issues. The truck also had a msd blaster on it when i got it. So i thought that maybe the advance auto coil may have been bad and i put the msd coil on and it started and ran. well i then hooked the advance coil back up and it started and ran fine. I must have moved something i dunno.

well i went back to work and came home this evening and tried to start the truck again it it would not start. I messed with the dist a little bit and got it to start back up and i took it to richards place and i installed a new dist and damn it runs good now.

If you still have the intake tube that crosses over the radiator, make sure that you check it from time to time for cracks. Because if you don't, you may find out that you have to replace the turbo.

Re: Tuning/chip

good deal!! the spark will arc on the inside when they get worn out, very common in big blocks etc, this will fix alot of the stock sytys with idle issues i think
