1/8 mile times

I recently went to the local 1/8 mile drag strip. My times were around a 9.44 @ 70-71 mph. My Ty is bone stock except a boost controller which wasn't turned up much(I don't know if it even works). My times seem kinda slow, but I'm not sure. Let me know what you all think.

yes your times are very slow....sorry but you need to get it running much better. what have you dont to it so far when is the last time you did a full tune up?..plugs wires cap rotor fuel and air filter..plus all the fluid changes

These trucks are cursed
i have a sy thats bone stock, except for a walbro fuel pump, jabsco IC pump, brass cap/rotor, ATR wires, and atr exhaust. i ran 8.61@79mph on shitty 91 oct. the ty should be a lil slower, but not almost by a second. Are you launching? or just punching the gas when the light turns green?

The last stock Ty I had ran 8.70's, however when I had the freak Ty that Waller owns now it went consistant 8.20's with only a filter and no cat. The white Ty I have now runs 7.10's consistantly and has a best of 6.98. But that's alot of money and time.

I just bought my Ty. All it has is a K&N and a boost controller. However, I don't think the boost controller does anything. It looks REALLY old. I'm not sure when it was tuned-up last, but I was thinking of doing it soon. Also, my mechanic who has three Tys doesn't think my IC pump is working. Any of you know how to check it?

I have been told to ground the yellow wire , but I don't know how I should disconnect it from the relay. Someone also told me to chsk the fuse in the weather pack behind the alternator, but I dont' know what the weather pack looks like.

ok do NOT disconnect it from the relay..simply "T" into it and run it to ground. it if still doenst come on then check to see if your getting power to the pump...you can do this through the 3 wire connector up by the washer bottle. you will want to check the brown wire for power.

I think I'll just have my mechanic check it out when I have my tune-up done. Do any of you know how long it usually takes to do a tune-up?

well that all depends on how good of a tuneup your talking about...if this includeds everything from cap, rotor, plugs wires and fuel and air filter. it could take a few hours.

No, it's not crap. You were right the first time about it sounding quick. And about IF...
There is no IF... about this Typhoon. It's at the top of the list for quickest. Is there any clue who's truck it is now? I'll give you a hint. It runs 9.80's @ 137+MPH. Yes it's rwd & thats your opinion about it not being a "True Typhoon".

I have seen some of the limited amount of posting Mr. "V6QUICK" does, and I think it's safe to say he is not some type of shyster out to make up bogus times..
