Alpine CDA-D852 Ipod hook up.

I know this radio is popular with syty's so i thought i'd post what i found from another site.
This basically gives you an Aux. In to the radio.
Has anyone done this?
Here's the post to give it credit.
The CDA-D852 has to be tricked into allowing an Aux. input.

First you need to buy a KCA-121B adapter.
Get a mini-toggle switch from Radio Shack
Go into menu and select "Mute Off" (press the power button for (3) seconds and hit #2 to turn it off.)
Hook up one side of toggle to ground
The other to the Pink/Black wire

With the switch ON, it will play Aux input
With the switch OFF, it will play from the HeadUnit itself.

Validated again today. There is no menu button. You have to press the power button for (3) seconds and hit #2 to turn it off.
