Pre-Race Boosted Launch...

I wanted to know, does doin a Boosted Launch B4 the
Real Boosted Launch n Race make any difference???

If so, what does it do/change??

1st night I raced I did a Pre Launch, B4 2 of my 4 Races..
I didn't notice any difference in my Boost or my Launch..

The 2nd night I raced they were jus rushing me right thru,
so I didn't do any Pre Launches.. I want my Sy goin faster..

The reason for doing it with a stock chip is to get rid of the 1st boost limiter flag. In a nutshell, the stock chip limits boost the first time it sees any. After that, you have full boost. So, doing a "dry launch" would unflag that limiter in the chip, allowing the run to proceed with full boost. Many aftermarket chips and reburns got rid of this feature, no longer necessitating the need for a "dry launch".

If you have enough power and the need to do so, doing a "dry lauch" can spin the tires, allowing you to clean them off.....maximizing traction.

Does your bin have it disabled? Don't ask me. Go look.....you want the following flag unchecked.

I have never hooked a laptop up yet..

What psi do I have to spool up to,
to "Unflag the limiter"?
what does it limit boost to first time

About 8 psi IIRC. But if you have the ability to disable it, then these really are moot points. Turn it off and forget about it.

I'm no code 59 expert, but isn't it a good idea to have the vehicle tuned properly before you think about going to the track?

Some people learn by what others do, some people learn by mistakes by themselves.

As I tell people, education always cost money, they just don't always come with a degree and some people pay more than others.
