I didn't even know Rodney dropped his pants.... I was too busy making a fool of myself. Then again I think Renz slipped a date rape drug in my drink...cuz I don't remember alot of things that night.

Lisa, I can't explain in words how great it was that you came to the Nats... I can't wait to see you and all of our syty family again soon. Maybe Amy and I will be together then, I am still waiting on her call... *sigh*

Well, I made it home.Eyes are puffy. But thanks for making me feel like such a part of your family. There wasn't a time when I didn't feel welcome. Only one thing could have made it better......
Jimmy thanks for letting me drive your Ty to the track, sorry I cried on you. To me it just should have been Dave there not me.
Renz, Morgan, Eric and Arron, thanks for watching over me :)
Rodney, Zack....I am sure pictures or a video will show up for the laughs you gave me.
Vinnie...thanks for the heart to heart. You are right until someone walks in your shoes they don't understand just how bad it hurts.
If I left out a name I am so sorry....
As for what I said to all of you this morning, it was from the heart. I sit here tonight feeling overwhelmed by the things you have done and how you have treated me.

Love to you all!!!

Lisa it was my pleasure. Next time you won't have to 2-foot it.
(Cliff Note- My truck has an IAC issue that I haven't fixed (lazy)which makes it not idle when its warmed up)

The whole time you were driving,I was thinking of Sammy Hagar's "I can't drive 55"

You know, "One foot on the brake, and one on the gas,HEY" :guitar:

The crying was fine, totally natural, and not a big deal at all. In fact,I never even mentioned it to anyone.

I felt your pain when you cried, which is why I didn't say much to you.
There really wasn't anything that I could say.
I could not fathom the pain in your heart.

But you know what? IMO everyone there saw what Dave saw in you

You stood tall in his memory like he knew you would.

You are a sweet and tough girl.

Thanks again to everyone for making me feel so welcome along with your kind words about me. Yes you all made me smile and laugh, which is something that has been pretty hard to come by. I am still amazed everyday at the outpouring from Dave's friends. I still get cards and letters from random people I don't even know in the mail. It was my blessing in life to be his wife and I am also being blessed even in his death by now calling you all my friends.

Much Love to you all

Lisa, I never know the right words to use for something like this but...

It meant alot to all of us, that you came to Nats. It had to be hard for you, kind of bitter-sweet, to show up without Dave. You said you wanted to thank us and I think you did that by having a good time at Nats. That's what we wanted.

It was great meeting you and I hope you attend Nats every year!

The Bots are a royal PITA, and need to be reckoned with by a permanent solution, BUT........

I couldn't help opening this thread because of the OP and the date. This thread was started by Lisa after her attendance at Nats 2007. She had lost her husband to a tragic accident earlier in that year. Myclone Dave was a key character on .net. Those of us that knew him and remember this tragic happening will understand what I mean.

Reading it again reminded me of the spirit and good-times that were such a huge part of the character of .net. If you didn't read it from the beginning, you should. Lots of names and great memories from the hey-days of .net.

If Lisa ever sees this, I hope she is doing well; I send my regards and best wishes.

I read it, tragic. You can tell the years have taken their toll on most, writing styles and demeanor were a lot more relaxed 15 years ago, imo 2007 was the year we started loosing our way.
