700 tubular trans crossmember

I am going to be building a jig and crossmember for a member here for a 700. They will look very similar to what I did with the 80e's but fit a 700r4.

I don't see a big demand, but if anybody else has ever wanted one let me know so I can build them at the same time.

$220 shipped.

Will that loop fit the Gilbert propshaft? Can you post a pic showing how the loop will attach to the crossmember?

Here is a picture of an 80e prototype crossmember which we added the plate for the propshaft safety loop. Welded to crossmember, loop then bolts to it.

I don't have any 700 trucks to mock up to, but this could easily be done locally, or if someone marks where they want it, I will weld it on for just cost of return shipping.

Getting a list so I know how much tube to order. Takes about a week for that to arrive.

I would say 4 weeks tops from this week. Flanges are done and ready for 4-5 crossmembers which helps.

I just need a YES I want one right now, going to order tube monday morning for whoever expressed interest.

Just looked at some of my old notes from doing the 80e swap. Stock crossmember 14 lbs. Tubular JSM crossmember 6 lbs. Now that was for a 80e. I would think it would be the close to the same for a 700r4.

Ok, finally got power restored to my house, was able to design and build the jig today along with the first crossmember.

This one will be going to Tyrodd as serial #1 with custom autographing.

Everything is here for 4 more. So first 4 people to paypal (ty1295@gmail.com) or make other payment arangements will get these first 4.
