Everyday I'm on here I learn something new and would like to give back. Problem is I am broke. Wondering if I could donate my time in anyway to help the site or the community? Please let me know if there is something I can do. I would like to be able to contribute to the community in one way or another.

Never been to TX, and have no experience with body work, but I am more than willing to learn. Send me a ticket and put me up and I'm there!

Post up some before and after pics man. I think people will be surprised to see what you started with and what you ended with.

Have you gotten all the body work done? last I saw the truck before you picked it up it still needed some paint. But trust me when I say i was impressed because I knew that truck long before you bought it and glad to see its in the hands of someone who cares.

Body work not done.. No $$$ the build went about 3 g's over budget and it still needs to be tuned and fix the leaks from the turbo:lol:

Well like I said I am learning something every time I log on. As far as my project photos, they were all taken at the shop I had build the motor a d reassemble the truck. I am still very green when it comes these trucks. So videos might not be the best way for me to help.

Compatible ECMs

GM put the Sy/Ty ECM [part 1227749] in only a few vehicles. This is the list of vehicles that contain the 1227749 ECM... again, from the Snap-On book.

* '87-'90 2.0 liter Turbo cars [VIN engine code "M"]

* Sunbird, Skyhawk, Calais, Grand Am, Skylark

* '88 2.3 liter Quad 4 cars [VIN engine code "D"]

* Grand Am, Calais, Skylark

* '91-'93 4.3 liter Turbo trucks [VIN engine code "Z"]

* Syclone, Typhoon

Don't confuse the ECM with the MEMCAL that is plugged into the ECM. Any of the above ECMs will work in a Sy/Ty, but only a Sy/Ty MEMCAL will work properly in a Sy/Ty.
