Odometer not working?

Well I just realized yesterday the odometer in my Sy is not working. It was working for about 250 miles after I changed my oil about a month ago, so it just recently happend. The trip odometer and all the other gauges are still working perfectly fine. What should I look for? Is the gauge cluster bad or something in the connection to the tranny? Any pointers would be great. Thanks,

Jason

Re: Odometer not working?

So the odometer itself is the ONLY thing not working? Do this. Pull your gauges, split the cluster carefully to separate the gray plastic case with lens from the white backside. You will see where the connections for the odometer and trip meter are. I think I had to pull my speedo or tach to expose them well, but carefully take stuff apart. You'll end up finding a black male connector with 3 or 4 small wires on it that goes into a black female connector for both the odometer and trip meter. Give the connection for the odometer a wiggle, carefully check for loose wires in both the female and male connections, and try it again. If it doesn't work, I'd guess something went bonkers from the plug to the actual odometer, and you'll notice that its nothing that you can really fix yourself. If it ends up being a turd...give these boys a ring.
