So where are you guys getting these steering shafts? Is this something I can get from AutoZone/Napa/AdvanceAuto/Carquest? Anyone got a part number?

i used the lower only from a junkyard and mated it to my factory rubber.

are you coming to nats??? truck???

i'd like to know also. supersportss10, is there a part number for the item you have pictured?

tryme did you get your's at the shop or from a junk yard? and suprersport 10 is this the wrangler item that needs cutting down?

I pulled mine from a junkyard...

Just FYI, I got mine out of an early 90's WRANGLER (square headlights), chopped about 6 inches off both the inside and outside shaft, ground a place for the retainer clip on the inside shaft, and bolted it in.

Mine wasnt new and works fantastic. i know the 2nd 3rd 4th listing on your link are excatly what i got. there is a plastic stop that just snaps on the lower half that you can just pop off with a screwdriver and it will collapse more than far enough for installation and still leaves plenty engages once its opened up and bolted in. i payed 30 bucks for mine and i have no complaints at all.

as far as hitting your manifolds i dont know, but it clears my atr headers with plenty of room to spare...

Yea, but I don't have the 4.3 anymore. My truck has an LS1 in it now and its pretty close to the steering shaft so that top joint may be alittle too big><

I put one in my S-10, (has an LT-1), no clearance problem.
I also have a spare if you want to try it.
