I didn't try polishing mine. I imagine a gentile polish wouldn't hurt anything, but Jeremy would insist that you wrap your piping in fiberglass to keep the heat out, something I still haven't gotten around to.

Without seeing a pic of the piping if it looks like the bottom of a soda can, you can get away with just hitting it with the metal polish of you choice (I use Mother's Billet polish and Wenol Auto in the blue tube). If it has a "grainy" appearance and/or has "lines" in it from being extruded, these WILL show up like a fist of sore thumbs if you opt to finish it. Lightly sanding it with 400 grit sandpaper followed by 600 will eliminate them. If you choose to use steel wool, finish with 0000 for best results. Obviously, doing this by hand will take longer than powered but it can be done. Just use 100% cotton (I have a box full of old t-shirts without printing on them for this purpose) rags/towels when using metal polish or you will scratch the part.

Gary,
I don't know where Jeremy got his. I think you can get it at Speed Merchant, or probably cheaper from Speed Warehouse in Hayward. I put the alky sprayer at the bottom near the TB. Lemmie know if/when you might like to swing by to take a look and get some ideas.
