finally got DM (shareware) and a cable ...

... cable is w/o the ciggy-plug - only 2 wires (brown+red) on one side and a box with serial port on the other side
laptop = toshiba satellite 4030 cdt + winXP

searched my a$$ off to get the DM connected :steamer:

what i found (did) : ccm handshake disabled, autologgin off, serial comm. setup timing :
receive timeout: 180 / transmit TO: 180 / bitbang TO: 180 / aldl timing link: from 205 down to 178 , choosed com 1 ... nothing happend
also tried : same as above, but bitbang @ 500 and aldl timing link @ 0 ...

... nothing happend, always the same : "no aldl or pcm connected" :banghead:

put the red wire on rightest in 2nd row and the brown on rightest in 1st row at ALDL

whats going wrong ???

dirves me crazy ... can a fawked up ecm cause this ???

what esle should i try ???

hoped now that i ve got DM everthing will turn out fine , but the fawk just started :tdown: :tdown:

please gimmme a hint that i can figure out what happend to my truck since it runs like crap :hang:

don't **** with the timing/com settings, auto find the comport, are you sure you are using the rightest ports on the ADL connector? upper right and lower right, i can't remember which one is the ground but if you swap them you won't **** anythuing up

the ccm handshake is what i hat to disable to make it work, did it already found a comport? have you tried swapping the red and brown cable?

yes, used the rightest ports on ALDL, also swapped brown / red ...
... when i 1st tried the link my truck, i let the setting as they were - also failed ...

comport - do you mean the port on the laptop in which the DM-cable seated ?

btw.: is it possible that the knocksensor detects a ticking injector as knock ???

on 1st try it was set to : none
i changed to : com 1 ... mistake ?

... what about the KS ?

when i start from scratch - how should i get things on ...

... run programm (by doubleclick) > file > record ALDLdata > testcom

if i understand you right thats the way to go, aye ?

and how should i proceed - press "rec on" ?

... and comport : is "none" ok, or should i set "com1" ?

u must select a comport cause that is how your laptop is getting the signal from your cable, there are different comports you can select? black not grey?

yepp. as they are "none", com1 and com 3 ...

... what will i have to choose : truck a/t or truck m/t ? (what does that mean? )

send a pm to E-rue or email him at e-rue@turbotime.us I would post it for you but I'm at work atm.......he sent me the setup for it when he sent the invoice on how to rig the wires up without the ALDL connector.....not sure if having XP on the system is messing it up....do you have the USB adapter? Just curious.....
