Weird sound coming under the dash.

Sounds like it's mechanical but it only does it when the car is moving so i'm thinking it's the odo? Is there anything else mechanical that might move only when the truck is in motion?

I have heard the trip odometer "click click click"

My trip meter in the Sy clicks as well. It quits advancing then looks like it's actually trying to run backwards

It's more of a buzz which is making me think it's something electrical and the last thing I want is a fire in my dash

Get under the truck and check to see if the fuel lines are making contact with the firewall. Usually, it is more of a ticking noise due to the injectors opening and closing.
