Your right...The tires Sumitomo run about $ 420 shipped. I know they are a cheap tire but I just don't have the extra cash for the GS D3's right now. And the truck needs something on it if I'm gonna keep it.

Don't get me wrong....the tire is a good tire and will last practically forever on the AWD....I was just saying that if you had a decent amount of power and your shooting for some hold....then that wouldn't be the tire I'd go with. But it's not a bad tire. Your wheels, tires and mounting can probably be had for close to a grand.

Here are my AFS ZR1's... Just put them on today as a matter of fact.
I got the Black Chrome ones... 17x9.5 and 17x11
They really don't look black but trust me, they are.

bought my C-5's from O.E.Wheels----extremely happy.Had one wrong lug nut,contacted him and he sent me 20 new ones.

So you bought the wheel/tire package from O.E. ( e-bay ) or did you buy the tires somewhere else? Anyway, those look real nice. I love that Indy truck :tup: Are you going to trim the axle in the front for the centercaps? When you get a chance post a pic of the truck from the rear and show me how wide those things look from behind and the front too if you don't mind

I did NOT have to trim the axle down at all on the passenger side but will have to do some trimming on the drivers side. ANYONE else run into this? I'll probably trim them both just to be safe. Also, I have not yet tried to back up with full tilt steering to see if they rub. I have heard that they will but no issues yet.

I'll try to post a pic of the rear in the next day or so. I hope I have time to give it a good bath this weekend. I'll take pics whenever I do.

I bought my first set of black ZR1 wheels from AFS a long long time ago to run on my SS Camaro. I didn't have any problems with the quality of the wheel or anything like that. Lately I've bought all my wheels from Bones and they've just treated me excellent and are a huge help with any of the orders I've had through them. I couldn't tell you about any rubbing with the 17x9.5's.....but I didn't have any issues with my 18x9.5's and did have a little rubbing with the 19x9.5's when cranked all the way over. Guess the 19's had a little deeper backspace.

I bought a set of these used this week with plain center caps and dunlop s8000 tires 275 40 and 315 35 for 500$ used and they are awesome. Polished aluminum and center fit really well. just bought chrome lugs for them today also

do anyone know the weight for the zr1 rims? are they heavier then the stock rims? or are they lighter? i was just tring to compare some rim weights around to find some light rims..

The wheels I got bolted right on(cut shaft to fit center caps) but I will be adding 1/4" spacers in the rear because I am picky. Drove it all around NATS and 4 hours home with absolutely no problems. (other than rubbing up front at full tilt steering)

Tried to take pics of the rear for you but didn't turn out as hoped. I'llhave to park it at the top of a ridge so I can take the pic from a lower angle. Yes, I will be cutting the front to installt he center caps. I'll do this when I modify it for turning clearance. It's on the list for this winters mods.
