OK, so once again it's Thursday night and it's street racing night. It's our small getogether as the large one takes place on Sat nights. So no one wants to run the Syclone, mostly it seems to be more of a car show than street racing, which is cool also, I can take a race or leave it.
We get bored and start looking at our inner circle of friends for a race, and well every one now wants to see the Syclone take on a liter bike. I'm down if it's just for fun I tell them. I'm not betting on a race against a new R1. :roll: Especially since the kid has been riding for 7 years so I'm guessing he understands what needs to be done when it comes to shifting that thing.
So we head out to our usual spot with the 1/2 mile long street thats pretty wide. We don't waste much time as we want to get our run done and get out of there. So line up at the starting line and the kid says I think you'll get me out of the hole, and I start cracking up, and tell him "oh I'm going to get you out of the hole" we all laugh, and I spool to 16lbs and with my new brakes just sit there perfectly still on the line, oh how sweet that feeling was. Flagger drops his arms and I'm gone! The bike is struggling to keep his front end down on the launch and through second, but once he hits 3rd he's now free to keep it pretty much WOT and he does, but Ive got a good lead, mind you I can see him coming up fast, and just as we hit near the end of the 1/4 mile my Knocklite flashes red and I can hear it knocking, crap! my foot jumps off the throttle like Ive been tazed, and we cross the finish line, with him at my rear right quarter panel/door. Eww that was close. To much boost I found out for for my gas I was running. :doh: Never again. Trucks just fine though, I just got back from a 200 mile trip, cruised at 75mph all the way there and back, only got 11.4 mpg...ee gads.
PS I'll be running a 600cc bike Thursday for 300 bucks. I'll keep you informed.:tup:

jesus.. fast stuff there.. i give you two :tup: :tup: i'm liking those videos a lot it keeps me motivated to build mine up more.
