not so much a kill, but a good story.
so i'm out the door at 7am to be into work at 9. Work is only 10 minutes away, but I wanted to log a couple runs in so I could post/ analyze during the day....productive right???
oh...by the way, I stopped at target and bought "no country for old men" on bluray to watch n the theatre tonight.
so I pull out of target, there was barely any traffic except for one car way up ahead. stop in the middle of the road, boost up, and let er rip (recording on). I get up to about 100mph, and pass a cop..seems that was the car way up ahead...lol. A New York State Trooper mind you. They DO NOT mess around. My immediate words out of my mouth were not pleasant ones, nor did I even have my seatbelt on. I pondered the thought of stomping on it and running, but my realization of my age got the best of me...i'm not 18 anymore!
I lifted, looked in the mirrior, and saw the guy completely spin the patrol car around ( smoke and all)..so again....obscenities came flying out of my mouth at a rapid pace....what to do????? what to do.
I slowed down thinking maybe it wasnt me he was after at 7 in the morning blowing by him at 100mph, and maybe he got a call for a murder or a robbery...well...turns out he was after me -sirens wailing , lights going and all. I cannot believe he spun it around so fast and caught up...so I immediately pulled over, rolled down my black as hell window, and prayed for the best. Now, the laptop was still open on the passenger seat. I was nervous and forgot to close it.
He gets right out of the car with no hesitation...Before he even gets to the window he's yelling liscense, registration etc...comes up to the window pauses and recognizes me through association...says "arent you Mark the guy from East Coast Audio?.....nervously I say "maybe"?...with a chuckle. I didnt know him at all....he explains to me that we did a job for his brothers uncles cousins sister in law - or some bullshit like that-he looks at the laptop with the graph on it still recording, and says....."ahhh....your datalogging"?...I looked at the computer , look back at him and say very nervously "i guess i was". He then explains to me he has a WS6 trans am / firebird or something blah blah blah ( sounded like the teacher from charlie brown at the time), after a few minutes amusing him listening to his story he tells me to be safe, and my truck is badass, and walks away. simple as that. no ticket, no slap on the wrist, no lecture.
so i say, chalk this one up as a kill fo  r datamaster!!!!!
phewwwwwww.
