Is anyone planning on going to Infineon Raceway this Wednesday , I'm going to be there with the Silverado cutting out my 17's :rotf: , practicing for the sy. if I'm late I'll just watch. Don do you have your truck back together?

Yup, had it out today. And unless the call me in to work at the last minute I'll be there. Quarter to 4:00 right now so lookin' good!

Good to know about the weather. What time do you have to get there to race? I'm getting off at 3 and should be on the road by 3:15 I think I should get there by 4:40ish...

Gates open early, like 3:00 but you should be fine because they don't usually let anyone into the lanes until 4:30 or even a bit later. If they haven't let us in you'll see us all parked in the upper paddock and people will direct you. If they have let us in and/or you haven't passed tech then that line is through the gate just before the gas pumps and then keep left, you'll see people there. Once through tech go left, looping back around the garages past the gas pumps back through the same gate but then just a slight left into the lanes. Be sure to ask what lanes because they may have changed things.

well took my 1997 LT1 6-speed camaro out the the track last night.(bought it last week, and I'm selling it this weekend) the car is ALL stock cept for cut muffler. I yeilded a best of 14.003 @ 99.82MPH with a 2.2 60' and .034 RT ( it was my last run of the nigh, and I broke out and was elimated) witht the stock 245's in on the stock 16" it was hard to get the camaro to hook well.

Don W. was there cutting his consistant 12.65's but he seemed to be spinning a little too much off the line.(truck getting a little sideways for the first 15 feet, looked sick!) we have video of don and I and once I figure out how to post it I will.
I think it's time for better tires don.... I'm hopin to have my syclone out there in a month or so to run with you..

Ya, traction is a issue. Those were virtually -0- boost launches as well. Typical Infineon wind keeping us bricks a bit slow. Still trapped at 105 though. 2 step going in and will have a ruling from Infineon when I go back in two weeks (no racing next Wed.) as to if I can stay in Sport Street or move over to Comp. If Comp I may go to a pure slick. Fewer cars in Comp but much stiffer competition. We'll see.

Not really there is a ton of rubber on the track, but with me spinning in the camaro I don't even have that much rubber on the back wells. ( my tires were Big-O fusion or something like that, so they are pretty hard and don't throw much tire shreds) so who knows. :roll:

Sucks, we rolled in right at 7:30, Don if you were the only sy there then I saw you leaving. I waved, but you probably didn't even see me. It sucks though, we have to be there before 6:30 to race(never gonna happen) and in Sac you don't even have to be before 8:30.

It was windy as hell too, get that video up I wanna see that

What did you roll up in? I beat a trailblazer ss and a C5 corvette in the bracket racing, but get nocked out on the third time round, so I was racing till 9?. I got 7 runs in last night!!!!!

Sean what color was your camaro, I'm sure I saw you. IIRC there was a red one and a green racing?

The red camaro next to the green one was mine. The other guy in the green one was really nice and his camaro was extreemly clean! I talked to the guy in the silver Z28, he was the one with the black ZR1's, he autocrosses it, I think he said? what year / color vette were you in I raced a maroon C6 and the maroon C5 50th ann? isn't yours a Z06?

Sold that camaro last night so I will be buying the last of the parts for the sy this weekend and monday!!!! Just need my turbo back and I will be set.... :squint:

Thanks again to Sean for bringing the camera, and his "assistant!" :tup: Thinly veiled complement, she's a very nice lady. There are a couple more mods than Sean listed, see sig, the trick has been making all that money, er parts, work together.

That was not a very hard launch BTW and it may have been the one where the spark retard on DM was dead -0- throughout. I'll post it later.

Here's the DM for those interested. The LEAN code is from driving home the previous week on low FP, (I run about 30# at the track) and I forgot to raise it for the trip home. It DID get raised shortly after leaving though when the CEL came on.:rotf:

Good run truck seems real strong. What was the temperature that day? I wish it was already racing season here. That track seems to be very downhill?? Or is that just the angle of the camera?

Temp in the 60's, fair amount of moisture. (gauge is coming) Track looks downhill because the runoff is quite uphill. NHRA track so I doubt there's much slope but have no idea what the rule is.
