Just to update:
Truck is running beautifully (as it used to). Turns out after replacing nearly every sensor that is was the ECM that went bad. Popped in a new one and wallah, she purrs like a kitten with the new ATR SS exhaust.

First off, if someone could stop by my place (Niles, IL) and hook me up with some datamaster readings I would appreciate and pay cash (for gas and time) in hopes that it solves my problem below. Please PM me if you can stop by tomorrow 6/29 or anytime early this week.
Here's my problem. One...
The bottom hose on the IC should go to the top of the heat exchanger and the top hose should got to the pump correct????? This is with the hose reroute through the pass fender.

Here was my original post http://www.syty.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=14973 Well today I went to start her up and I have the same problem as before. The RPM's jump up and down +-400 and she usually dies. If I gas it up she sounds like she choking. Lots and lots of exhaust that smells very...
The electrical problem has been fixed. Just missed a wire connected to the alternator. Yup. A black wire had managed to hide itself between the valve cover and engine. Thanks for the suggestions guys. At least I learned what a fusible link was out of all of this.

A (ty)ny update. (A little laughter in this cuss rage I have been in with myself). The fusible links appear to be good. The one near the pass headlight is hot. The wire before the 2 links behind the alt is dead. Something between the battery and before the fusible links by the alt is...
Rick,
I did get the ATR exhaust and the 160 thermo. Both look great. It's been a b**ch getting the 10 year old rusted bolts off the old exhaust. I've soaked the bolts with penetrating oil and have only gotten one off. It was a great suprise getting the package though. I figured it would...
Are there any fuses in the engine bay besides the ic pump?? I only checked the ones under the dash. The terminals on the battery are clean. The battery is also near fully charged now and still nothing. I tried to find and check all the packs and make sure they were secure. I also checked...
During the last few days I did some work on my Ty. Today I went to start her up and nothing. The lights in the cab wouldn't even turn on. Here's a quick review of what I did.
Day 1: I pulled the battery and simple greened/cleaned the engine. Let it dry for the day (battery still out)...
I am replacing the vac lines in the Ty and noticed the third port on the boost solenoid should have some type of filter because it appears to be a vent port. The filter clip is still on the vac port (bottom port on drivers side solenoid) but the foam is gone. What can I use to replace the...

Also, these s/t series trucks will let air in from the outside when the contols are switched to off... and you can feel it at your feet...especially if you are a barefoot hillbilly like me
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<,
This is exactly what I am experiencing. Any fix for this. I will be...
Yeah summer is here in Illinois. We've been having 95* days with 105+ heat index. So I wanted to take care of the AC.
As to my ? 3 and 4.
From what I've been reading on the BB the answer seems to be yes for #3.
And for #4 I will be replacing the stock pan with a Derale, get the B&M trans...
I have 4 ?'s
1. I get warm air coming out of the foot vent behind the center console when the air temp slider is on cold and hot air when its on hot. I assume a door isn't closing properly and allowing the air in even though the slider is in the "OFF" position. Does anyone know how to get to...
