Re: How do you remove a stubburn lower intake?
I've always used a large prybar... over the top of the water pump and under the front lip of the intake. Sometimes under the thermostat housing, sometimes under the lip of the manifold if its accessable. give it a little pry and it usually lifts...
Re: Converter lockup question
Converter lockup will feel like a "5th" gear of sorts, only it will only drop about 100-300 rpm at most. Yes, tapping the brake should unlock it and the rpm will jump back up until it is ready to lock again. making sure your TV cable is set properly is VERY...

Re: A1000 bleeds off too fast?
+1 that about sums up the potential causes.. minus an external fuel line leak. But I have a feeling you MIGHT notice that. Block the return line, if it still bleeds off that'll rule out the regulator. Checking injectors would involve lifting the rail out...

Re: Guys with front mount ic please help
Ahh that would definately explain the overly high pressures then if it was charged to the original r12 ammount.
Re: Guys with front mount ic please help
Re: Guys with front mount ic please help
High pressures are usually an indicator of either being over charged, or restrictions in the system. Restrictions are usually either high side or low side, not usually both. When converting to r134 was there a...
