thanks for the info and the good word, myclone, i appreciate it. you are correct, although it is my RX-7 steering linkage, and not the crossmember, that will hit the shallow pan if there is re-distribution to the back of the pan. i will have to get my awesome metal guy to do some mods. also...

I am 99% sure I have the deep pan. Attached is a pic of the oil pan attached to the block. See how low it is compared to my body kit? OUCH! Also, does the block code I posted above help, and if so, could you decode it for me? (Also, could you do my laundry, too?! :D I know, I'm a needy...

Storm Troopers, I have a 4.3L V6 in my 1st Gen RX-7 and the oil pan and block came from a Van or Pick-up. I'm bottoming out, and I need to change the pan. Do the Monte Carlos and others that have a 4.3 use a different pan than the SyTy's? Does anyone know where I can get a shallow pan, beside...
