Re: ecm/engine build question
I have a 95 4.3 block that I was building for boost. I started at $500 for the engine then tore down etc etc. Machinist stole my cam and didn't do some of the work I paid him for. Now I'm selling what I have because of life hardships getting in the way of...
Re: What's the difference. CAMSHAFT
So if I have the crankshaft machined back a little further so the timing chain will fit can I use a non balance cam?
The builder doesn't have it. I think it was used on the thrashed engine that was there when mine was.
This guy doubled his verbal quote to...
The machinist I took my engine to to have him bore and machine the block. Spec the cam journals and crankshaft to see if they were still good etc. Turned out he "never got my cam from me" That was kind of hard because the short block was together when he got it. So I now need a new cam. I...
Re: Looking for a little help. What do I need?
Thank you for your help. There is one 247 that I need to learn to program, but it's not going to be changing any maps. Just removing parameters for auto transmission, VATS etc.. for an engine swap. My engine is going to be a little more...
Re: Looking for a little help. What do I need?
I am looking at emulating as much as possible to attempt to get the best tune possible.
So you suggest:
TunerPro RT software
Ostrich for emulation
G1 Adaptor for the Ostrich
ALDU1+CABL1 Combo cable For logging. Does the Ostrich do this too?
WBO2...
Here's what I'm looking to do. Using the SyTy ECM I'm looking to use a laptop for real time tuning and testing, then once satisfied with the tune burn a chip. I would also like to be able to do this with a 16183247 ecm as well for the OBDI 3800SC.
What equipment from Moates do I need?
What size are the bolts that hold the motor mount to the frame? I had some come out I bet they all weren't in there to begin with #1 reason not to let anyone else touch your truck. Anyway my mount is no longer bolted to the frame. I'm heading out to get some other needed parts and would love...
Ok so far I have located the part numbers for the pistons and rods I'm going to use. What is a common Mild cam that's being used these days with mildly modded engines. I'm hunting for a 350+ hp range. I'm pretty sure that the stock cam would work but what other options are out there? Also...
I'll help you some what. First off you're looking at a Central port injection motor with probibly one of the Worst designed intakes ever. So #1 you're looking at a new intake. SyTy Intakes I've seen run well over $500. Then you're looking into injectors *6 then a New computer and Harness...
So now I'm curious what are the parts of choice?
Pistons P/N
Rods P/N
Cam P/N
Rockers P/N
Valves P/N
This will help me in getting the parts gathered to do my conversion.
Thanks again.
