Not sure how this small dent got here. Probably from pulling the engine back out. The fenders are cheep the the amount of work to change out not worth it to me. I poped out the best I could and this received a small bit of filler. Don't have a picture yet of the results but turned out nice. T

Hey, So I have been getting quotes for the paint on my truck. Once place month ago said 6000, then a week later it was 8k. I've gone to others and either they don't have time/only do insurance work or want 10k+ . Holy shit, the body is straight and mostly rust free. Few pin holes over thr rear...

Hey Mikey, Welcome. Look forward to reading about your progress and seeing the pictures. I have similar story, mine sat for many years untill 2018 or so I took all apart. It's back together and just preparing for paint. Look forward to seeing pictures of yours. T

Hey guys, I'm sure this site doesn't get much traction anymore, too bad I wasn't more involved or had my truck in storage for the last 20 yrs. But I'm going to continue to document my resto for those who are interested So for anyone who's been following me, you know I had to remove the...

I had more pictures of the repairs I've made to the cladding but pictures are too large to upload

Hey guys, I know its been a year since I've posted. Most of the time can't get onto this site. Signed up to Facebook but I hate it and hardly use at all. I have many posts to update but I'm going to start here and add as often as I can to bring my post up to speed. So stored the truck over...

Hey guys, Haven't been able to log onto this site for some reason. I have joined Facebook but can't post on syty Facebook page for 30 day period. Anyways, got the engine back yesterday from the rebuilders. Oil pump drive gear became loose on the shaft causing the pump to fail. New pump...

Got the engine out and dropped off to the rebuilders. I'm looking forward to getting some answers with regards to no oil pressure. In the meantime, this will give me a chance to paint the firewall, fix some shitty wiring and clean up some things I whish I had of done the first time. T

This is what I mean by the glue crap on the firewall - the yellowish stuff. Once the engine is out, I'm going to clean down the firewall the best I can, mask and spray. I'm also going to paint the brake booster a nice factory looking satin black. T

Hey All, This weekend continued with the disassembly, pulled driver side apart and all the remains is the motor mount bolt. Screw around with the bell housing bolts a bit and got two out. Front accessory drives are off, water pump wiring etc. Started on passenger side. Definitely harder as...

Thankyou gmemony2 I will look him up and report back..If he does, let you all know how much $$$.

On a positive note, I will be able to redo a few things eg: front fog light wiring harness was in the wrong spot and I wish I had painted the firewall previously, I will get the chance now. Seems to be covered in some sort of glue or sealer. Possibly from the factory. Also wanted to paint the...

So back over this morning to continue with the engine removal. Unbolted fuel rail, upper rad shroud, trans cooler and oil cooler lines, removed AC compressor brackets, and power steering pump bracket. Out came fuel rail, bunch of wiring etc. I'm trying to remove as little as possible to make...

So the process of pulling the motor out had begun. Again.

I went back over to pull the distributor, I have a tool to spin the oil pump shaft. Once everything out of the way, I put the tool into my cordless drill and spun the pump. Definitely resistance as the pump turns but Still no pressure. With the oil filter off, oil does come out the oil pump...

Rained on Saturday this week so I went over to work on the truck on Sunday. Went for a quick drive last weekend and while out, I noticed 0 oil pressure and the check gages light flashing. Not good. Was about 1/2 mile.from the garage so drove home and parked it. Didn't sound bad, maybe a bit hot...

Hey, It's a long weekend up here in the North. So I took today off (Friday) to make extra long weekend. I headed over to old dads this moring to get started. Hoped into the truck and pulled outa the garage. I wanted to get the remaining body cladding off to prep for paint. The rivets aren't...

Hey gmemony2 Lol - crappy tire is actually Canadian Tire. They have autoparts, hardware, tools, sports, hunting/fishing and houseware depts. Most also have full service auto repair. Their part number is 20-3758-2, but that probably won't help you. I found mine buy Googleing the number on the...

Here they are finnished off. Long weekend comming up and I've taken Friday off (May 17). I'll be working on removing the cladding for paint. I've also acquired the recommended lord fusor glue and reinforcement mesh to fix the cladding tabs and a Crack on the passenger side. Hope to upload...

So I brought home the fog light assemblies. We took em out of the front bumper and they were in pretty rough shape. I thought a good sand blasting and paint would make them look new. Disassembled and blasted the light buckets/housings and the metal mounts. Broke one of the pivot bolts and...
