After doing all of this work I still had some slop and the 275s would grab any crack in the road and jerk the wheel. I ended up adding a Rancho steering stabilizer using the factory mount on the frame and this tightened up the steering and prevent the front tires from wandering.
Every modification I've made to my truck can be reversed and I kept all of the stock parts. You can do the upgrades and not ruin the truck's collectability.
I will not be doing the work at this time. I just don’t have the funds. I will probably put the truck away for the winter as is and repair in the spring once I have saved up the funds. It sucks, but I have other priorities right now.
This is spot on. DO NOT ADJUST THE TV CABLE TO SOFTEN THE SHIFT! It will lead to transmission failure. My tranny shifts hard 1-2 and has since day one. 135k on the stock original transmission and it still shifts hard. Fluid and filter changes only.
