Sonoma GT With a SY/TY turbo.

Re: Sonoma GT With a SY/TY turbo. I'm sure you could, but for all the work it would take to get all the right parts in there you are better off to just put a complete SyTy engine in. Think about the routing of turbo oil lines and coolant lines, and drilling the block/pan would be a pain while...

    Any Canadian guys need parts?

Re: Any Canadian guys need parts? No I don't, I sold the complete rolling truck a couple of years ago, it was a 92 anyways and didn't have one. Look for Blazer's with them at wrecking yards.

Coolant pushing out of the cap?

Re: Coolant pushing out of the cap? The way I always add coolant is by leaving the t-stat out, fill with coolant watching where the t-stat goes and fill it up to the top there, then put the t-stat in and tighten, then fill up the rest of the way, that will get most of not all the air out every...

    Got lucky with intake

Re: Got lucky with intake Everyone, and I mean everyone, should be putting a piece of screen over the end of their intake pipe to stop pieces from getting to the turbo. It's so easy to do and takes seconds, and will save you a lot of grief down the road.

    ABS help

Re: ABS help No issues with corrosion, and this is a 20k mile truck. I just sold it, and was trying to see if I could get the light to go out for the new owner.

    ABS help

Re: ABS help I have never done anything to the brakes myself, both the ABS light and the brake light were on when I got the truck years ago. The brake light I was able to get to go out with a reset, but never had luck with the ABS. Now the master cylinder has been changed at some point, I...

    ABS help

Ok, years ago I looked into this and never got back to trying to diagnose my ABS light in my Syclone. I decided to read back through everything and give it another try, and I'm stumped. I first jumped the ALDL, and get the motor to cycle, no problem. When I try to pull codes, the light will...

    Ontario meet?

Re: Ontario meet? I was just thinking about this the other day. I know Kevin (Ty One On) had talked about hosting one, but I haven't heard from him lately, maybe it's time to send him a text. If not, I would be willing to host something again, is there a time that works for everyone? Right...

22K Mile Syclone for sale. ~$15k USD

Re: 22K Mile Syclone for sale. ~$15k USD It's my truck, it's 22000 miles, just through it up to see if there was any interest. Exporting from Canada is easy, you declare it and pay whatever taxes you need to pay on it once back into the US

    Engine Vibration

Re: Engine Vibration Interesting information for sure, thanks guys. Both flexplates I have tried are from 4.3 engines, and have the big "batman" weight on them. There were differences between the 2 in smaller holes between the large holes in the flexplates, this is what lead me to change the...

    Engine Vibration

Re: Engine Vibration I've given that some thought Ed, I'm just pretty sure this one isn't internally balanced, but maybe something in the rebuild process is causing the issue.

    Engine Vibration

Re: Engine Vibration I think the balancer is my next move. I drove it this morning, and aside from the vibration, the engine seems to work really well. Every ignition part is new, distributor, coil, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and I pulled the plugs after it ran a bit and they all look the...
