Just got an interesting/out of the blue phone call here at the lot.
Guy called asking if I knew which employee drove the White/Grey Typhoon that he saw here last year.
Then proceeded to tell me that he's got a '93 that he bought out of Texas many years ago sitting in his yard on blocks underneath a tarp that he was repairing yet lost interest in.
Claims it was hit in the drivers side wheel area. Said that he originally bought it for his son but they lost interest. Claims that the drivers door won't shut, the floor is pushed up where the pedals are, has a "replaced stock s10 front end and door".
Says it's black/black...93....has sun roof and he's in Alexandria TN near Center Hill Lake. Also said that he goes by "Sarge" and that he was on American Pickers on April 9th selling them a gas pump and that the Ty is in the background in the episode, but partially hidden under the tarp.
Anyhoo, his name is Jim York. He's going to email me some pictures, the VIN and additional information later on today.
Just sharing an odd-out-of-the-blue phone call that resulted in finding another long lost Ty.
