Braphoon

What exactly is needed to do a Braphoon conversion on a Bravada? I feel like I might already have most of the necessary parts, and Bravadas are dirt cheap for a solid one out in AZ. 97 would be the last year of the real AWD so I'd probably look for one of those.

I'm thinking...

Exhaust Manifolds
Downpipe (Stock one fit?)
Turbo
Intercooler and Piping
Some way to deal with the ECU (HP tuners?)
2 Bar MAP
Injectors?

What else am I missing?

Just wondering.

Marine intake

Ive been looking at a few cheap Bravadas myself to make a sand drag car out here at the ET motorsports park.

Re: Braphoon

I'm working on a low-cost, '96 version of the same project, but progress has been very slow (it's a low priority).

I believe the downpipe fits, but I'm not 100% certain. If you relocated the Bravada oil filter, you might be able to use the SyTy intercooler. The '96/'97 PCM is not supported by HPTuners. One solution is to buy a Corvette 0411 PCM that has been flashed with a supported S10 tune (2001 is common). After that, the Bravada harness is re-pinned with 0411 connectors and the injector connectors are added.

I bought a cheap, modified SyTy manifold, so I will probably try that instead of the cast iron marine.

I have a post somewhere on .net with a pic of my welded bung on the front of the aluminum pan (easier to route the turbo oil return line).
