I have no blowoff valve on my truck. I thought it was unecessary when it was an automatic transmission and a PT Turbo. I thought they could withstand the pressure?
I'm almost 100% certain that it's not the airfilter. Should I get a blowoff valve? I want to "hide" the blowoff-sound if possible, I don't want people hearing I have juice under the hood.
I guess it's impossible but it's still nice to try beeing a "sleeper", alot of ppl in my home town still have no idea what this truck is. All they know is Volvo / Saab with aftermarket memcals.. 8) .. There's a guy here who sais his volvo will beat my TY @ the quartermile.. His last pass was 13.5 secs. He wants to bet me 5000SEK (about 500dollars), I think I'm up to the challenge. Just as long as I get my turbo back

, just had the tranny rebuilt and a new torque converter 3500RPM stall..
My suspision is that the turbo couldn't handle the pressure of the high boost (about 25-26psi) or that someone bent the blades while trying to turn the compressorwheel when adjusting it for the turbo to intercooler hose.
It's my turbo and I'm getting it fixed, I'm just trying to find out if I could file a complaint about the turbo, so maybe I can get some money back for the new rebuild of the turob. This will cost me alot of unecessary money, bought the turbo this spring and I was hoping for a Speed-Pro system, however this is about a 3:rd of the speed-pro cost, just fixing the turbo.
