Center console light out!!!

The light for the shifter in the center console went out, anyone have any tips before I just start taking stuff apart? Any advice on taking out he center console would be great. Thanks

its easy

look in the cup holder, there some screws in it. take those out and whole top section will come up. You will see the 2 bulbs that go into the shift indicator. unplug them, take out the old bulb, put in the new and your done.

either a regular 156 or 157

they make all different colors now... amber, red, blue, super white, etc

I had red in mine for awhile. Ian Turgeon (SyTyArchives) got a set of super white bulbs for the entire truck (dome, dash, console, etc) off ebay that are really bright and show up as more of a white pure light than the regular yellow dull glow of a regular clear bulb. I think he paid around $40 for the set.

im pretty sure its a 157.. i replaced mine not to long ago w/ a bright red 157 led light.
