Dammit.....i'm not driving my truck to Homecoming

once again i'll be truckless. The green truck is in pieces while i try to get it street legal. Plus it's suffering from some heavy blowby anyway so it's prolly going to have to be freshened up before a long road trip like that anyway. :tdown:

i really want to get a truck there since i was 50% with bringing a truck to Homecoming :lol:


oh well...busy schedule + slow mechanicing fails again. :tdown:

I'll still be there (bringing Jen too) though...and i know everyone likes to see me more than a stupid truck anyway. i hope. :rotf:

i just finished putting in a poly motor mount on the drivers side hopefully it doesn't melt on the trip and hopefully it doesn't shake as much as it did with 2 solid mounts..

Well aparently I am not bringing my Syclone either :rant: I just took out a shifter cable and shifter bracket.

shift it manually with a wrench from underneath....itll make for a fun road trip!

If you drive to homecoming via renz's suggestion I will make you one heck of a deal on a shifter cable at HC.

Maybe we should meet up a few miles out and you can drive one of mine the rest of the way so I don't have to show up with both Ty's on trailers for once! Sorry that you can't bring yours...

looks like renz will be riding with me..

currently my passenger window motor is shot.. i have a replacement but i dunno if i'll have time to fix it before thurs night..

going to be a fun trip eitherway, i have no issues dropping renz off somewhere so that he can pilot another truck..

I could just drive the 2WD the whole way there as I put 750 road miles on it in the last few weeks. I freshened the motor up this spring (with some changes) and once again went with the TotalSeal AP stainless steel rings.:banghead: I again had the same breakin problem as last time in getting the rings to seat right out of the gate. So I had to "drive it" to get them to seat. At least I am down to only using a 1/2 qt of oil per 100 miles vs over a qt a couple of weeks ago.

I plan on coming in late afternoon on Friday...

I'm kinda surprised you don't just get a 2 car enclosed....or just put a hitch on the awd ty! ;)

Looks like one way or another you'll have a truck to drive at HC. Maybe I'll bring one for you to drive too!
