Datamaster help needed!

I pity da fool
Ok, so i just got a setup from aaron. He really gave me a hell of a deal and i am more than happy with my purchase. I have not been able to get my ty running right. I have thought it was a timing issue. When i hook up datamaster, the dtc ok light flashes alot. i view the codes and there are like 15 of them all crazy. The check engine light never comes on? Should the dtc error throw a check engine light under normal use? I know nothing about datamaster but the amount of dtc error and the type seem crazy. Second, the box for est bypass has a 1 inside it. I assume that means est is bypassed. That would explain why my timing seems off. Could i have a bad memcal? I have already tried a new ecu with the same results. I have a new memcal on the way.

Sorry for the long post but I am tryign to get this all out of my head while it is fresh. Is it possible my ecu grounds are bad? I measured the ohms of all the grounds from the ecu plugs and they looked great. I suspect they could be bad because when i redid all the wiring i noticed the condition of the copper ground wire was badly oxidized. I work with copper wires for a living so it stuck out like a sore thumb. The condition was so bad i could not get the wire to take solder, i had to use crimp on connectors for the ground wires on the back of the head and the front of the intake. Could bad grounds cause my crazy datamaster info? Why would the grounds have very little resistance but still be bad.

I have done so much work to this truck it is sickening. I guess around a 1000 hours. I am not going to give up, i just need a direction to move forward.

Re: Datamaster help needed!

I am pretty sure the memcal is bad. I found some old posts with info on how to test the ignition ckt wiring from the ecu to the module. All my wiring tests good. The only thing left is the memcal.
