Factory alarm?

In the process of semi restoring my ty. The front cab mounts are pretty bad so we are replacing them. Long story short there is what looks to be a factory alarm under the dash right by the fuse block. There is also stickers on the windows that say gm alarm. I want to remove this thing as its a rats nest of wires, and is getting in the way of welding and cutting. There is a diagram on the back but it has been damaged to the point of being illegible. Is this a factory add on and if so is anybody familiar with it and how to get rid of it.







I forgot to add that when the battery is disconnected, you have to flip this little switch that's hidden under the dash to get it to crank over.

3 factory options on a Ty. Painted cladding(red on a red,or argent on anything .Red Aspen Royal Teal Garnet Forrest,but buyers paid for argent regardless)roof rack,CD player.
