Okay... I just got the truck back, with the walbro installed.
However, there's a definate problem now. Before I got it back, they told me that it started right up and ran for like 5 -10 minutes and then shut itself off. Hmmm...
Anyway, eventually, ecmb fuse is found to be dead and they replace it.
So I take the truck out, put some gas in, and drive off. Get it washed at the local self serv (about 10- 15 minutes of it idling), and head for home.
I build some boost to merge into traffic and all of a sudden I'm coasting. And it won't start. Fortunately I was only a block from home, so I pulled over, ran home and swapped fuses, and it started up again.
I think the injectors are fine.
I think it's not the EGR. At least it wasn't a problem before.
Maybe it's the boost solenoid, but since it's really hard to build boost when idling, I don't think that's it either.
But I don't understand what the fuel pump couild do to cause it to pop the fuse after it's been running for a while. And the second time happened right as I hit like 7 lbs of boost.
I also smell gas when standing by the driver's door, but not underhood, or at the gastank.
I haven't had my trucklet for a week, but I don't want to drive it until I fix this.
Any ideas, gang?
