Do you have any extra machine work done like receiver grooves?

If not, I always like cometic's.

But there are others on here who do the SY/TY stuff more than I do that may have a different opinion.

I installed my heads 5-6 years ago, and push about 25psi and haven't had an issue.

X2 on Cometics. I've blown others. My machinist uses them on his race motors running 15 to 1 compression. No issues. Just expensive.

if your running a mild build just get stock gaskets. I run them and use them like a fuse...I'd rather blow a head gasket than lose a rod bearing.

Head studs also require pulling the motor to pull drivers head.

I've not done it on my ty, but for my blazer I'll take the studs out except for 1 up front and I can pull the head that way.
