HOLY CARLISLE!

Yesterday I made the 3 hour trk out to Carlisle for the All Truck Nats. It was insaaaaaaane!

Right as I walked in, my heart jumped. Sitting right there by the entrance was Tom Joy's new Syclone (Randy - ghostrider's) old one. OFF THE HOOK. I mean ABSOLUTELY INSANE. As if the paint and interior weren't perfect, that McCoy setup was wild! I took about a dozen pics, all of which I will post on my photo album later on and let everyone know.

Other than Tom's there was only 1 other Sy and 1 Ty. The Sy could use some Black Magic on the cladding, but both were real nice. I, however, didn't show. After 3 hours my baby was so freakin dirty (not to mention all the rock chips from Rochester and back) that it was useless to enter.

The rest of the show was crazy. Illegal burnouts everywhere, boobs all over the place, nuts burnout comp, plus some of the highest and lowest trucks I have ever seen!

I will be back later when the pics are up........

All the other shit may have been off the hook, but I just went through all those pics and there's not one boob anywhere. no nipple no butt no nothin.

Are you sure it was boobs you were seeing and not just rednecks?
Lol.

That Sy Tom got is very nice. Looks to be modded nicely and still a show quality ride. I'd pull the valve covers and check the rockers, pushrods and guidplates.

Hey!!!!! Thats my old 72 El Camino!!! I built that quite a while ago and showed it then beat on it for a bit, then rebuilt it again and traded it for another car about 4 years ago now. I am glad to see it is still out there being shown. Looks like the paint is holding up well.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!!

Hey Mike. I just found this and went to the link. Those pics are awsome! I will definatley be saving them. I had no idea anyone got any good pics of it. I really like the pic of the rim, all sydeways like that, cool. I must have talked with the other fellow with the sy there (forgive me, im terrible w/ names  ) for at least an hour. There were definatley more at GM nats, but there was a fair amount of people who actually new what it was, but most are in the dark. I had one guy actually try to argue with me that the truck wasnt all wheel drive, and that it was a 3.8 GN motor. I finally said "sure, its only rear wheel drive, wanna race?" Good Times!

p.s. Would it be possible for me to use one of those pics you have hosted in my signature? Thanks again.

Absolutely! Use whatever you want :D

Only catch is you gotta at least pretend to be friendly to me next time I catch you at a show. And BTW, were you camping out at the little lounge with the lit-up tent and projector screen at night? That shit was the bomb. Hopefully we'll talk soon. Keep up the good work on her bro!

Yea, i was camped out there. We had a WILD time all weekend. Friday night through Sunday afternoon! Solid party, after dark, you almost forgot you were at a car show  It was an awsome time!

I dont pretend to be friendly with anyone. I usually dont have too  . I love hanging out with fellow car nuts, ecspecially guys who know about these trucks. I am definatley looking forward to next years events, hopefully we can get some more east coast sytyguys to make it to either GM nats or Alltruck nats.

1 more thing, how exactly would i add one of those pics (the small one of course) to my signature on the board. I really like the sideways one of the front wheel and side of the truck, but all of the pics were awsome! I sent Randy (former owner) the link to those pics also.

Thanks

Years ago we used to get 15-20 trucks to show up. That's a thing of the past though. The people who run the event treated many of us so poorly that we vowed never to return. I for one got sick of their insane admission costs, crappy facilities and idiot event staff. Never again will I give them a $1 of my money.
