Myself and the rest of the Homecoming Staff would like to again to give a BIG Thank You to everybody that came out and made Homecoming 2010 a great weekend. Without all of you those would have not have been possible. Lots of great memories and stories from this weekend....some may be told, others not so much. A special Thanks to all of the sponsors/vendors that contributed to HC.

- Dave and Amy at Bullseye Power....yeah that's right, it's got 3 turbos

- Tom M, Dameon, Carolyn, Mike & Tom B @ Sport Machines/B&M Industries..... those were some badass 18's

- Sam from Tial

- Detroit Turbo

- Brian at Monroe Vinyl Graphics and Signs our impromptu sponsor

- Covercraft

- Jim Murphy @ Murphy Appraisal

- The Scott's( UR50SLO and turbodig) a personal Thank You for their tuning help and wisdom

- Renz for donating and for making it to 3 events in a row with a truck

- Everyone @ Go Karting....nothing like getting "security" called....cough, cough jabberwalk

- All the spouses and family of the staff that helped out and put up with us during the whole process.

.....and anybody else we missed, it wasn't intentional and we appreciate everything.

Thank you to all of the Homecoming faculty. it was a fun event! Thank you to all the sponsors, and thank you to the community. It was great to see many of you again! We had some very good conversations Fri and Sat night, and I am very happy that it was fairly uneventful....well...of course that doesn't include the hard-ass STAFF member who had it out for us...

Some Sportmachines thoughts on HC 2010.

Great event glad we were there. We had a great time.

A HUGE thanks to the organizers. No event without you.

Organizers did a great job as usual. Ken did remember the cheese this time. I think I counted 4 different kinds. Pepper jack on the burgers was the greatest. The event was well orchestrated. Trophies were sweeeeeet. Also bringing home the most innovative mod for the stock 18” wheels was some icing on the cake.

Sponsors were awesome. Very nice donations for HC this year. Thanks Tial for the wastegate. That I won he he he he.. Also got lucky and scored on the Meguiars cleaning supplies. I missed out on turbo from Bullseye power. Thanks again.

Some very nice trucks there this year. Jason’s matte black Sy was sweeeeet, but would look better when I fix all the cladding and with stock 18’s. John’s white ty’s still in awe every time I see them. Wades Green/Gray best ty color combo ever is always a pleasure to see. Saudi Sy very nice low miles. Riches Blue flame Sy great as usual. Glad to see Tylers red/red clone actually made it. Nice work to whom ever fixed that thing.....wink wink. Lance’s sy was nice to finally see. I am glad it made it out of the bubble. But needs some stock 18’s. And judgeing by the way he was looking at his truck with them on it, I have a feeling we might be seeing an order from him. But we know which truck was my favorite. #2320. I am glad to have had the honor to bring that thing back from the dead and unveil it to him at Homecoming. The look on Mikes face when that thing rolled out of the trailer was priceless. Then again when he cam back from the first pass down the road. Amazing. And being that it was the first Sy Ty meet it had ever been to, made it quite sweet. But when the 3/8 drive ratchet almost hit Eric after it feel out from under Renz’s 2320 was a bit scary until we confirmed only a ratchet and not a connecting rod or something. Then after another blast down the road truck stops and Renz jumps and pops the hood. Tingeling in left shoulder and chest started to hurt. EGR plate blew off.

Other notable highlights from my very short memory are Harmon stickering “Harom will own this truck” on most trucks, several post and things at the go kart track. People looking directly at the stock 18’s and not really sure what the difference was between them and stockers. Then the light would come on and jaws would drop. It was awesome. Go carts were fun until they shut us down an hour early. Jason got tossed out. He only smashed me about 20 times. Good times right there. Crushing units in the hotel parking lot. All all of the canadian one liners.

Also wanted to personally thank everyone on the Sportmachines crew for busting A$$ getting everything finished before the meet and setting up and packing and unpacking everything. Carolyn, Tommy, Mikey, Tom thanks so much could have not gotten it done without them. Also for Eric (Big Smoosh), Mike Renz for helping out with everthing.

Thanks again,

Sportmachines

Thanks for the complements on the trophy. Good to see it go to a good home. I am already thinking about the next one. Going to have to step it up and make it "better" then this one. ;)

Re: Homecoming Thank You...

Thanks to all the organizers... your time and effort spent on this was very much appreciated by my wife and I. This is the first SyTy function I have got my wife to attend since the 2000 Nats and she even had fun! Lot's of great people in this community which is what really makes it fun.

Special thanks to Gerber for letting me drive his AWD Ty again... definitely a beautiful truck that is second to none in looks and performance... and ALMOST as fast as my Syclone (but with one heck of a better stereo!!!!) :D.
