Jabsco Vs Johnson

I have read up a lot on the jabsco pump bc there is a lot of info about it on the internet and a lot of people use it. But i have heard little about the johnson and it should pump a lot more fluid. What is the best pump for lowering my IAT. I realize the jabsco may be more realiable with the magnetic drive but that doesn't concern me to much. I am looking for lower IAT and the johnson is looking good in performance and price. I guess what i am asking is does anyone run the johnson pump or can they give me any more on info on which one is best?

When I was using my stock IC I had the shurflo pump, seemed to work well, I think any of them are going to be helpful.

I would also try some method of getting more water volume in the system. There is another Ty owner here locally in Knoxville, he is still using the stock IC and we are going to see what we can do to make some improvements with that since he is still running a stock turbo too.

Also some sort of a scoop to get more air to the CCHE seems to be working for a lot of guys. I think there are some more efficient aftermarket heat exchangers out there also.

A lot of it is going to be trial and error, go with the pump that a lot of the guys are using, they are relatively cheap.

The Johnson pump is great. I have had several different pumps in my Sy.

Just drove over to Ron Gregory's a few days ago and bought a Johnson.

Took about 20 seconds to fill a 1 gallon can with it pulling through the stock heat exchanger.

Hooked up the stocker for fun and it took 45 seconds.

My Jabsco was nearly dead so it took longer than the stocker.

Magnetic drive is not a issue in our closed systems. Now if your where pumping your bilge........
