hey i just wanted to get my stock SGT seats to black leather with the red striping and get sonoma gt imprinted into the headrest. I just wanted to know of any good web sights that do this or any locations in the Chicago area. and no i will not be selling the stock seats

Any reputable upholstery shop can do this.
Most of them have their own embroidery setups too.

I would definitely suggest going local b/c you do not want the headaches of trying to return or get after the sale service on upholstery from an out of town vendor.

I've been wanting to make this upgrade on my sy for some time now, but never got around to getting a quote. I was thinkin of cutting corners like GM and only doing the main part of the seat in leather and the back and sides in faux leather... maybe get the middle inserts done in perforated leather, for those long drives so you dont get swamp ass. seat heaters/ventillation would be a nice addition. I believe katzkin.com sells a kit.

yep and a pattern basically they cut it apart and copy it.

hmmm maybe ill hang on to that extra set of 92 ty seats and let them chop those up... even though the leather is in good condition

Dont bother.

Marty got his seats through Tom Argue here in FL (also did Keiths and Gary Shannocks seats) and Tom WILL NOT produce anymore for the masses or individuals for that matter. He absolutely has no time or interest really to make the seats anyhow. It was something that Tom did for a short period of time for those who had the cash right then and there.... and they were not cheap to do.

I very much doubt Tom would give up the templates either due to if he ever wanted to do more in the future.

I'm sure Katzkin has the templates already. They aren't SyTy specific. If you just want to buy the covers and install them yourself, www.leatherseats.com has pretty decent prices compared to what you'll pay at an upholstery shop. They can do embroidery as well, and they offer seat heaters, perforated inserts, and all sorts of other stuff.

Riggs brothers in Lisle would be my first choice

Side not plan on speding at least 1200 to 1500 bucks to have them made.

i emailed katzkin.com and asked about covers for our seats (sy and 92ty) and about the heater/ventillator kits... i'll post whatever i hear from them.

Is that cloth in the middle of those leather seats? Kinda ghey if so. Anyone have seats with the logo stiched in WITH harnes cutouts?
