ls1 throttle body help

is there any sensors that could not be adapted or swapped to work with a sy wiring harness

assuming I built a sheetmetal intake for mine

would like to run a gm ls throttle body just cant make myself run a ford tb lol

Are the LS and ford TB bolt pattern the same? 4 x whatever the measurement is.

LS1 and LS6 are 3

LS2, LS3, and LS7 are 4

So will the 4 bolt LS throttle bodies replace a ford style 4 bolt? Is the pattern the same? I wouldn't mind changing back to gm from ford.

Yes, plugs are not the same but adaptors can be bought, or ends of wiring changed.

That's why a lot of people run the 3 bolt since it's still cable driven to avoid dealing with this.

Like Jeff said, it's doable but there's some work involved.


How are you going to setup the sensor on the accelerator?

So will the 4 bolt LS throttle bodies replace a ford style 4 bolt? Is the pattern the same? I wouldn't mind changing back to gm from ford.

I actually couldn't find any info on this, I did find the Ford size, but NOT the LS size (I can measure one at home if no one knows off hand).

Really no reason to not use the ford STYLE tb. There is a reason lots of custom intakes use it, it works and simple. Lots of options.

I have done it 4 times now, never once used a TB directly from a Ford though, all been aftermarket TB's with GM IAC modules on them.

The LS and Ford throttle bodies are NOT interchangeable.
