No start

HI!

Have a problem with starting the engine.
No tacho moves while cranking, no spark. Good fuel pressure.

I decided to replace ignition module. Did it today. Tacho moved, got weak spark too.
After replacing coil got firm spark but engine doesn't start. I didn't noticed even a little will.
Only fuel smell.

After few samples tacho stops moving and no spark.

I'm on the ECM stage now.
I have found that coil links (GE3 GE4 GE5 GE6) have voltage.
Service manual (picture below) said that there is no voltage.
Could it be a problem?

Re: No start

I recenty had this same problem after a transmission installation. My no start was from the 3 prong connector near the transmission dip stick tube near the fuel pressure regulator. You may want to look there around the fuel pressure regulator. Just a stab in the dark.

Good luck and keep us posted :)

Is this your bush?
Re: No start

Poopy ignition module.....ignition coil.....just a thought. Check the resistance. Specs can be found online and even videos on youtube.

Re: No start

It was a bad (new) ignition module and wrong TDC I did myself. The factory is not on a place.
I made a TDC mark not on compression stroke.

Now I have another problem and hope its not a compression problem.
Car doesn't accelerate smoothly. I have found that third cylinder spark plug is wet.
Installed new plug and still the same. Bought a spark tester. There is a great spark. There is some compression too.
I hope it is an injector problem not a piston's ring.
We'll see...
