Re: PCS start up file

Hey you need to go to the PCS web site, they should have a start up file there for you.

Re: PCS start up file

Work through the built in wizard, honestly it will get you real close.

They do suggest on turbo cars to base the line pressure off MAP instead of TPS. But I would start with TPS until you get familiar.

Wizard will ask you all the questions about max engine rpm, tire size, gear ratio and set you up 80% of what you will probably end up with IMO.

The wizard is faily simple, got my ty started yesterday. Wired it the PCS way you did on your post. The laptop connect with no problem.

Description / Wire Color / What terminal to tap into on syty harness
Sensor ground........BLACK/WHITE .........B6
RPM...................ORANGE/BLACK.........D8
TPS..................YELLOW/BLACK...........F13
MAP..................YELLOW/RED..............F15
CLT..............YELLOW/LT.GREEN..........E16
12 Volt Ignition source
Ground

Didn't drive it as yet, still on jack stands, I have to check for leaks and that nothing is touching anywhere. I did put it in drive and reverse to see the wheels spin :).

I got a good deal on the pcs and 4l80e cable from here.

$800 drop shipped from PCS, $675 for the unit and $130 for the cable.

Thanks

Re: PCS start up file

Very nice page!!
The wizards seem to tend to want to put the 1-2 shift point really high at minimum throttle. If you feel it revving, don't worry. It's not like the 700r4 fortunately. Just get in there and drop the 1-2 shift point and smooth the curve back out.
