I am thinking the injectors are not working.
They probably aren't.
I purchased a really nice non-running Sy years ago that I got running fairly quickly, but it had no power. It ran smooth, but absolutely couldn't get out of its own way. 3 injectors on the
same side of the engine were not flowing any fuel. (The firing order is one side then the other, so every-other cyl being dead results in a smooth-running 3 cyl engine.......) Here's how I verified my suspicions:
Hook up your fuel pressure gauge. Disconnect all the injector connectors. McGyver a way to energize a single injector with +12 Volts. A loose injector connector, small clip-leads, or even just two small probes to touch the injector terminals with. Run the fuel pump through the test connector to pump up the pressure, then remove the power and let fuel pressure stabilize. Note the pressure. Energize the injector under test with 12V and count "one...two...three" and remove the power. Note the pressure. If the gauge didn't drop, that injector isn't flowing. You can also hear it spray if it is working.
To access the passenger side requires removal of the intercooler. So begin with the driver side, and if you find bad ones on that side, you have to remove the intercooler to remove the fuel rail anyway. Plus you're going to have all 6 serviced.
I've had good success with Jon at Fuel Injector Connection. When I contacted him about the non-flowing red-tops I cited above, I didn't think they could be "cleaned" unless they flowed at least a little bit. Jon said "Send 'em in. I can fix them." And he did.
