question on block internals..

what is the difference of the stock internals of a ty/sy compared to a normal 92 4.3 blocks internals?

the main caps are nodular iron and the pistons I believe are different. Thats about it.

yeah, the main caps are nodular steel, and the pistons are lower compression cause of the turbo.

ok well, what kind of rods, and pistons would you think is upgrade for better then stock internals? I will be changing them all so any one have any comments on above mentioned parts?

L35 rods & TRW pistons=$$
Eagle rods & SRP pistons=$$$

TwistedTy, I have nothing against you, but c'mon, these are both topics that have been covered in depth 100's of times.

If you had a specific question about them thats one thing, but both of those broad topics have plenty of information on them.

to answer your more specific question....

how are the eagle rods and srp set up?

Im gonna be running that combo this summer. SRP .030 over pistons, standard tension JE moly rings, Eagle Rods and stock crank with 4 bolt mains.

Im just looking to break into 11's, then im done with major modifications for this truck.
