smaller diameter steering wheels

Is there such a thing as a smaller wheel (diameter) that DOESN'T have the adapter that ends up sticking out soooooooo far? Everyone I've seen (or sat behind) sticks out (towards you) way too far.

Anyone have something that doesn't do this? If so, you got pics????

Yeah I am with you Roland.. If you look at the stockers, they kinda have that spacer thing going on too. I always thought the corvette had a smaller diameter wheel. I measured one and it was a couple of inches smaller, cant remember the year. Here is a pic of an 1988. I'd rather have a stock appearing wheel that was smaller...
