That is robbery at $60 a pull, I can get on a dyno for around $150hr

well that is interesting. i am new to using or having a vehicle taken to be used on a dyno so i had no idea. only problem now is do i spend the gas money and drive to conroe or save the money and just get the base pulls here, hell i only live 15 min away from his shop

Re: Syty shops around San Antonio Tx?

Ive met him before..really down to earth guy.

and yes most of the guys there in the shop were on lunch when i went by, but they were super cool about letting me in. talked for about 10 min and went my way.

I wonder if he has any BS3 experience

i almost asked him that but i was running out of time and i was cutting into their lunch time so i didnt want to be too much of a bother.

There isn't a shop or a guy in the world that can do reputable shit that isn't registered here.

Belee dat.

I will probably head by his shop Friday morning and get more info. Corey is a cool guy and never had any problems with him when I would take my corvette.

I would give him a shot, I have a couple shops in the Houston area I've priced dyno times per hour and they were very reasonable. Reason for my response on $60 a pull is really high IMO. I know the last dyno day I was at it was 35$ a pull.

Do you have big stuff 3? If your talking about tuning the stock ECU it may be worth giving him a shot. The BS3 is not very difficult IMO.

I just learned of another shop in Sealy, TX this past weekend at the track. They have a awd dyno. DD Performance

Chassis dyno tuning is nice but not necessary unless your really trying to push the limits of the build/tune. You could set a goal on HP but it will all come down to the build/tune.

If you have BS3 you can email me a data log file and I can take a look for you.

bad4point3 sorry for threadjacking this one, but i guess its good for both of us. still need to come check out the truck soon.
now as for putting the truck on the dyno, all i really want to do is get the baseline rite now so that i know how far i want to take it. i dont want an all out drag truck but i do want a fast and reliable daily driver. my truck drives good now but i now it is missing something somewhere and i cant pinpoint where it is. i still have yet to run my DM and send a file to one of you out there that can decipher all of the info on it. maybe tomorrow for test and tune nite at the strip.

Missing something somewhere? What exactly do you mean? If I wasn't 100% about it I wouldn't be planning on putting it on a dyno.

This why I'm so glad to get rid of the stock ECM, to many damn headache's worrying if a plug n play chip is spot on. With the BS3 I feel a lot better about the tune and drive the truck daily. If I want to upgrade anything I can make changes easily myself and data log everything on one program. Multiple tunes can be saved and uploaded anytime using a laptop.

sorry for the overly late response,
i am concerned that i have some sort of high kr but i have to get the time to take it out and make a recording with dm. a few times i have been opening her up on the highway and get to 100 mph and it feels like the power just turns off. sort of like a governor.
i have checked everything under the truck that could be loose causing false kr but cant find anything. i would pull out the laptop and go for a quick drive this morning but with the holiday here, the black and white would be waiting with the donuts.

Data master would be a good idea, I like the scan master provided from turbo tweak, very good monitoring device for a stockish truck.

turbo tweak is coming in the near future and so is the scan master. i havent yet gotten into the art of code 59 and my truck is basically all stock anyway. i havent started modding heavily as i really want to keep it a daily driver, yet knock the pants off of any unsuspecting stang. not really a vette killer.
