6th page down of the ty documents it says sta 25 "seat installation".

also notice is says upper intake install, why would pas inspect something they didnt install

So how did workers at Pontiac West drive 92' Ty's around, on/off trailers? I know they weren't going far but still.

it's common manufacturing procedure to do a final inspection on the final product, since Pas was the final stop before dealers they would have had to do it. Their used to be a document floating around on Internet about PAS work instruction of installation of the Syclone parts. I am pretty sure I printed out a copy at home but I think that instructions were for claddings, seats and center console.

On the L35s, would it matter if the tys were not built in order? Say ty 1200 was built before ty 1000, would ty 1000 be more likely then ty 1200 to have L35 heads?

No, it wouldn't make a difference. GM built the Typhoon in sequence of the VIN number and GM installed the motor. PAS finished building the Ty and those were done out of order (hence the sequence number).

Did all '92s have same self-leveling rear end as '93s?

How about figuring out which ones have fuzzy shelves under the dash and which were smooth?

roof rack question for 92... are anyones slats chrome? I'm not talking about the 2 main horizontal and vertical pieces but the lil slats that keep stuff from scratching your roof.

Mine are chrome.

I think they're all chrome Certainly in 92. The ones on my 93 #498 are chrome and attached with screws.

My 93 Blazer has black rubber strips, and are attached with double side adhesive. I'd be more interested to know if anyone has a Ty, or other 2-door in the 92-93 years that have black rubber with no-screws strips.....

ahh ok for some reason i thought they were all paint matched and i had some nonsense going on with mine.

still no idea why the hell they put roof racks on these trucks in the first place.

What about the paint itself, wasn't 92 single stage and 93 base clear?

So is the L35 head that superior to our lb4?
The hp & tq rating jumped significantly from 91 to 92 . In 92 Chev officially went to the CPI injection.
In your opinions, did the heads, or the new injection set-up contribute the most to this?
I believe both helped, but I have a tuff time thinking that the cpi contributed a large amount of that new power......I'm asking, cuz I want to build a block this fall/winter and want to go L35 heads and maybe a different fuel system. Not going Vortec conversion.

The L35 camshaft is much more aggressive than the LB4 cam. On a built optimized L35 should give about 25 hp gain over LB4. On stock motor it's probably more in the 5-10 hp range.

thanks

What would the best cam be to optimize the better flow of the heads and ported intakes?
