Turbo help

I got my exhaust housing ceramic coated and am now trying to reassemble it. The two parts go together with sort of an interference fit it seems. Do I just try and get them to seat on each other. And does anyone have a helpful suggestion?

Re: Turbo help

Possible the ceramic coating has a .002 inch thickness added
try some anti size lube on the housing it may slip on easy but
still align the small pin it is pressfit ..

Re: Turbo help

I've got the alignment pin no problem, but i was wondering if the two surfaces are supposed to seat together. Currently there is a gap so I am not sure if they need to be pressed together

Re: Turbo help

They are supposed to sit flush with each other. Clean off any ceramic coating. Use some WD40 if you have to.

Re: Turbo help

There is absolutely no ceramic material around the seal, the housing and turbo will meet half way but won't seat flush for some reason.
