Typhoon at Centerra, Loveland CO

And it was almost added to the graveyard. :tdown:

My wife and I were headed home after seeing American Gangster (pretty good too!) and we were sitting at a stop sign waiting to turn right, when the Ty came blazing around the corner, cutting way into our lane and almost removed the front corner of our Volvo :rant:

It was black/black with a 'decorative' white pinstripe down the side. I didn't feel like chasing it down for the Vin. I was too pissed at the kid driving for almost taking out our car... with a Typhoon. :rant:

Jimmy, I'll keep my eyes out, because the way this kid was driving, it'll be in the graveyard soon.

Sounds like me but I havent been to Loveland in a couple years. That and I dont have a white stripe. But you really wouldve known if it was me because not only would I have almost taken off your front end but you cant miss the sound of 1200hp through the ol 20g :lol:

And i've seen your truck before :lol:

Nah, this was a young kid... I'm guessing under 20. Who knows, maybe next time I see him, he will take the front of the Volvo off so I can get money for an 850-R. :tup:

Actually, right now, the truck runs great. It's the trans/tc that keeps me from going very far from home. :lol:

If mine ever starts you might see a long typhoon... At least unitl I can find a place to put the topper that is currently on my syclone...

I might actually get it started this weekend! My last battery was trashed so I couldnt start it yet...

So tell us more about the tranny issues... Have you diagnosed it more yet?

I diagnosed using George Blake's suggestions.... Driving steady at 50mph... tap the break to release the tc, no change in RPMs. Then, driving again at a steady 45, manually shift down to D from OD....no engine breaking.

I have all forward gears and reverse, so that's good. :lol:

And there's weird rpm spikes when slowing down for corners/stop signs, etc. No load on the motor, foot off the accelerator, the RPMs spike up from 1k to 1.5k erradically. I have a video of it somewhere... let me see if I can dig it up again. :tup:

I have my old TC in my storage unit... But I am not up for a tranny r&r... Especially since i know you dont have a bolt to drain your tranny! I always end up covered in ATF...

Man you guys. No I feel ya with the plug thing. Why dont you have a plug? If you get me your pan Ill put one on for ya cheap. And it shouldnt take you more htan an hour to get the trans out and an hour and a half to put it back in, piece of cake. Let me know if you need any tips.
