I changed the plugs and wires in the truck today and 3 of the 6 were plugs that I expected to see. Two of the other plugs were a little more black and had some junk on them. But still not too bad to warrant this post. Plug #6 is the reason I posted this. I pulled plug 6 last. Because it is the easiest to pull. I pulled it out and behold the electrode had been melted about half way to the thread part of the spark plug. So I have done a little bit of searching on my own.
So what is the deal?
It is just one plug. So is one of my injectors having issues?
Is the truck just going lean? The PLX when rolling onto the throttle is around 10.8. But it does spike for less than a split second at about 10% on the TPS. I am going to throw some more fuel at it and check the new plugs often for a while. I just want to know if I am missing something stupid.
Thanks for all your help guys!
