Will this 4L80E work?

Local guy has a 4L80E out of a 1995 Chevy 1 Ton pickup for $600.. is that a decent price for this trans?

if so buy a 2001 newer piece and get the better lube system and better planeteries.i got my core from here...

they have one for 300 bucks,....drives great no reverse.
