WTB stock exhaust manifolds and crossover pipe. Or, suggestions on how to fix/repair cracked stock manifolds.

Find someone that can weld cast. My understanding is that it needs to be preheated to weld properly.

Well, that may be my problem. The Passenger side has already been welded by a shop that was supposed to be able to weld cast. Although they did tell me there is no guaranty the welding they did on it would hold. It looks like the manifold broke in the same spot it was welded. I don't know if it can be welded again or if I need to replace it.

Welding cast is a gamble, needs preheat, post heat and praying to be successful combined with a high nickel rod for welding. Being someone has already been in there and fubared it, best to get another.

I have had a cast manifold off an olds repaired in the past. (I also have an additional cracked Ty manifold too), but the welder who did my previous work has long since retired.
What I do remember, was that the crack was ground out into a V and the manifold pre heated up very hot with Oxy acetylene and then welded with high nickel content 'rods'. I say rods, but I dont recall if it was actually Tig, or stick welded, as it was about 25 years ago, only that it was a good repair. So it can be done, if done 'properly'. As to exactly how durable it would be, I cant answer that.

I have 2 manifolds and the crossover, but i'm in NJ. I think shipping will be real expensive. PM me if you are interested.

If you are still looking, i might consider selling an extra set. Manifolds and crossover tubes only.
