1/8 mile

Well Infineon, which is well known for its wind, had a lot (of wind) last night. Can you stand up in 40 mph breeze? I don't think it was anywhere near that bad but it was bad so they restricted us to 1/8 mile. After two decent oil downs we only got two time trial runs so dialing is was bit of a joke since I've never run 1/8 mile before but here's my best:

.001 light whoopee!
1.789 60' haven't seen one of those in a while
1/8 mile 8.638 @ 77.59 nothing to write home about

My very best was last year and that slip is over in the time slip forum but interesting anyway. Really happy with the 60' time which means I'm making progress again after passing smog.

Stock turbo, turbo intake and DP for those wondering.

That's not too bad.
But really Don,if it was my truck I'd get a decent turbo and associated fuel sytsem mods (and a trans)

Your Sy could be 10 carlengths faster (mid/low 7's maybe high 6's) at least with some good stuff on the stock motor.

OOPS nevermind.forgot about smog.

You just described my truck :rotf:

I would have loved to run 1/8th mile. Darn. Give me 2 weeks and I am up there too. I would be happy with a 1.7 time.

Re: 1/8 mile

3" DP is in the garage, but not on the truck. AFA smog is concerned I'm moving the registered address of the truck to a location that does not require smog, at least not now, with no threat of it going there. Now I can do the DP and maybe some other things. I'd really like to get consistently in the 12's. Which means loosing about .5 to .7 secs.
